It is primarily used to house core metering components such as electricity meters, meeting the functional requirements of energy metering, anti-tampering, and remote meter reading.

Wall-mounted or floor-standing installation, secured with built-in expansion bolts.
For outdoor installation, IP34D protection rating is required; for indoor, at least IP20.
