Rural power grids feature long transmission lines and severe voltage loss. The growing integration of rooftop PV systems and charging piles easily leads to grid overload, unstable power supply and potential safety hazards. The integrated PV-ESS-diesel microgrid effectively addresses such challenges for weak rural grids, off-grid remote areas and islands. Leveraging the energy shifting capability of energy storage systems, the solution realizes peak load reduction, improves power supply stability and PV consumption rate, and avoids reverse grid overload. In off-grid areas, the system adopts a collaborative operation strategy with priority power supply from PV and energy storage and diesel generators as backup. It prevents inefficient idling of diesel units, greatly reduces fuel consumption and operational costs, and achieves energy conservation and carbon reduction. In addition, supporting 100% unbalanced load power supply in off-grid three-phase scenarios, the system fully adapts to residential and small industrial power demands, delivering safe, stable and reliable power guarantee for all weak-grid and off-grid regions.
