The DDZM208-D/Z/G Class A Single-Phase Smart Gateway Meter (Communication Unit – External Switch) is a modular meter developed by Hexing Electrical Co., Ltd. based on the new generation smart meter standard of China Southern Power Grid. It separates legal and non-legal metrology functions as per IR46 requirements. The meter consists of a metering unit, a management unit, and a communication unit. The metering unit handles legal metrology, the management unit handles non-legal metrology, and the communication unit enables remote data transmission. The metering unit plus communication unit can perform traditional meter functions. The metering unit plus management unit (using the Electric Harmony operating system) plus communication unit can meet the incremental demands of new power systems and new energy systems. The management unit supports functional expansion through edge computing and intelligent analysis, catering to applications such as distributed renewable energy, energy storage, and charging stations. The product has passed sample testing, Electric Harmony certification, and CPA certification organized by China Southern Power Grid.
