June 26, 2025, Johannesburg, South Africa – ZLink, the smart energy solutions brand under Hexing Electric, today held a grand opening ceremony for its new manufacturing base in South Africa, marking a significant step in deepening localized production and technological innovation.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony attracted over 120 industry leaders, including officials from the South African Department of Trade, Industry and Competition, municipal representatives, and key partners in the water and energy sectors. The Acting Director-General of the Department of Trade, Industry and Competition highly praised ZLink’s investment as ‘a sustainable development model that combines job creation with upgrading critical infrastructure.’

Li Binbin, CEO of Hexing Electric South Africa, emphasized: “This factory not only represents capacity expansion, but also our solemn commitment to grow together with South Africa through technology transfer and talent development.” The wonderful lion dance performance at the end of the ceremony vividly showcased the perfect integration of Zlink’s Chinese heritage with African development.

As Zlink’s first professional production base in Africa, this factory will produce advanced metering and IoT solutions while creating a large number of technical jobs locally.
