Project Scale:
Plug-in smart meters HXB6021C: over 130,000 units; Enclosure+CPU+DC: over 16,000 sets; CIU: over 120,000 units; Handheld units: over 60 units; Communication devices: over 200 units (AP/RELAY); MDC+NMS systems as well as customer system integration; FAN networking and IT infrastructure construction.

Project Details:
This project represents a large-scale deployment and integration initiative for smart meters and Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI).
Characterized by its massive scale, the project involves over 130,000 smart meters, more than 16,000 enclosure units, over 120,000 communication units, and matching network and terminal devices, requiring the deep integration of multiple complex systems, including MDC, NMS, and customer platforms.
Project Value:
As Brazil’s pioneering SMC meter box deployment, this initiative marks a historic breakthrough in data security for the country. It constructs a highly efficient and reliable closed-loop system for power metering and anti-tampering management. By deploying transformer-side meter boxes and in-home CIU units, the utility has achieved real-time, precision monitoring and anomaly traceability of end-user consumption for the first time, converting long-standing non-technical line losses into quantifiable, trackable, and actionable management targets. This solution not only directly mitigates financial losses caused by electricity theft but also provides a solid data foundation for refined grid management and service upgrades, empowering the client to optimize operational efficiency while enhancing public service quality and social governance capabilities.
