Recently, HaiXing Electric successfully applied to become a Promoter Member of the Wi-SUN Alliance, making it the first Chinese enterprise to join the alliance's Board of Directors.

The Wi-SUN Alliance is a global non-profit association composed of leading industry companies. Its members include multinational corporations and national organizations from Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, Europe, India, Japan, Korea, Singapore, and the United States. The alliance's mission is to provide interoperable and seamlessly connected wireless communication network solutions for smart cities, smart utilities, and other industrial IoT applications, based on open global standards such as IEEE 802, IETF, TIA, TTC, and ETSI.

Wi-SUN is an increasingly popular and widely deployed industrial mesh networking standard. Built on the IEEE 802.15.4g specification and other IEEE 802 and IETF standards, it is an IPv6-based network with distinct advantages such as low power consumption, long-range wireless connectivity, and multi-vendor interoperability. This standard enables developers to expand wireless networks for utility, smart city infrastructure, and industrial IoT applications. Its mesh networking offers exceptional coverage and resilience, supporting deployments spanning several kilometers. Currently, this technology is widely used in public energy sectors across North America, Latin America, and Southeast Asia.

HaiXing Electric is the first domestic company in China to establish a complete Wi-SUN FAN architecture solution and obtain relevant certifications. It has already developed a full energy IoT platform based on the Wi-SUN FAN standard, with capabilities in R&D, integration, and operation & maintenance. By joining the Wi-SUN Alliance’s Board of Directors, HaiXing Electric will accelerate the global adoption and promotion of the Wi-SUN standard.
